I Love My Mum

I love my mum because she takes me to places  like Rainbow’s End.
I love my mum because she buys me stuff like my shoes and clothes.
I love my mum because she cooks my favourite food butter chicken.
I love my mum because she helps me with my homework and signs my homework.
I love my mum because she gives me kisses when I go school.
I love my mum because she look after me and cleans the house.
I love my mum because she always support me when I go  to tournaments.
I love my mum because she lets me go and play every day.
That what I love about you, Mum

Love from Jarvis xx

Walking To School

When you walk to school, you hear cars going fast. Sometimes you hear big trucks on the motorway. When you walk to school, you see parents taking their kids to school. When you walk, you see dogs barking at you because you get cheeky to them. When you walk to school, you see patrollers. When you walk to school, you see houses; you see motor bikes; you see gates closed; you see other people going to different  schools; you see people riding their bikes with their speakers inside their bag.

When I walk to school that is what I see.

That Was Summer

Remember that time when you went to play basketball and your mum said to put on your shoes because the concrete was hot. That was summer.

Remember that time when your dad said don’t go for a swim because it too cold and when you hopped  in it was freezing cold like ice. That was summer.

Remember that time when you went to the water and you stood on the hot sand and forgot to put on your slipper. That was summer.

Remember that time when you said to your mum can you get a ice cream. She gave you money so you brought it. It started to melt so you licked it fast. That was summer.

Touch Training Today

Today we started our touch training with Coach Malakai from Counties Manukau Sport.  We ran through a number of drills to help us with skills that we will need to play touch.
We practised rolling the ball, passing the ball and catching the ball.  We needed to remember we have to pass backwards because forward passes aren't allowed in touch rugby (or any rugby for that matter).
We really enjoyed our time today (even though it got really hot in the hall!!).  We are super excited for next week!!
