…...I LOVE MY MUM……

I love that you cook dinner and breakfast for me.
I love that you are being  yourself.
I love that you are always there for me, Kielu, Lafi and Meke when we are sad.
I love the way you smile and act.
I love that you are so peaceful and lovely.
I love that you also help me with my homework.
I love that you always think about others before yourself.
I love that you always buy me things like clothes and shoes.
I love that you always do my hair and make it beautiful.
I love that you are so humble and beautiful.
I love that you try your best to look after us.
I love that you love me.

Love, your daughter, Lea xoxoxox

The Pacific Island Head

He was a Pacific island.

His face was like Mt Vea’a with ulaa’s crawling down his face with baa’s snapping things.

His forehead was like Apia having tsunami’s and cyclones with cars crashing into each other.

His eyes were like seals, slippery slimey and sticky with muscles stuck on them.

His tears were like the raindrops and puddles that the people play in.

He was a Pacific island.

That Was Summer

Remember  the time  when we had to do the boring, stink and horrible work. I fell asleep and I got a growling. That was summer.

Remember  the time when I had to run 2 laps around the prickly yucky slimy muddy field? I was crying. That was summer.

Remember the time when we had an ice cream? You had two scoops but I got one scoop and I got jealous.  That was summer.

Remember the time when we were playing touch but suddenly a girl pushed me onto the prickly slippery muddy grass. That was summer.

The Beach

Feeling the blue clear water my feet.
Popcorn and barbecue cooking makes me hungry.
The beautiful white sand feels soft on my feet.
Fishes swimming around.
I went and  swam with the salmon fishes.
I can see people swimming around.
I can smell the salty water hearing people talking.

Touch Training Today

Today we started our touch training with Coach Malakai from Counties Manukau Sport.  We ran through a number of drills to help us with skills that we will need to play touch.
We practised rolling the ball, passing the ball and catching the ball.  We needed to remember we have to pass backwards because forward passes aren't allowed in touch rugby (or any rugby for that matter).
We really enjoyed our time today (even though it got really hot in the hall!!).  We are super excited for next week!!

When I Wish

When I love, I love my parents.
When I cry, I am crying because my uncle passed away.
When I smile, I am smiling my dad didn’t go work.
When I speak, I am speaking because i am proud.
When I imagine, I am imagining that the world was peaceful.
When I wonder, I am wondering what would the be like if we have a new queen.
That’s what makes me the person I  am today
