Whakanui Week 2, Term 1

Today we had our second whakanui (assembly).  We were hosted by Paua who shared their learning about the Titiri o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi).  We got to hear about the early history of New Zealand - it was very informative.

Big congratulations to Sefita who has obviously made a good impression around the school.  Not only did he win a Kia Kaha award, he was also this week's Principal Award winner!  His commitment to learning and being a role model in the playground and class make him a deserving winner.  We all aim to be like Sefita.

    We were lucky enough to be at Waitangi on Waitangi Day. It is such an inspirational place. Well done Sefita for not only gaining one, but two awards! Welldone and keep it up!
